Complete, ready to go rugged box sidecar. This custom made super strong all aluminium body is manufactured in the UK to our design. Constructed from 3mm aluminium with flush fitted weatherproof locks for strength and security. The design includes a weatherproof seal in addition to the inner weather lip to keep the worst of the weather out. The lower part is powder coated in satin black although other colours can be made to order at additional cost. The lid is left in raw aluminium similar to panniers fitted to adventure bikes, but much much thicker.
With over 200 litres of secure storage and a load limit of 120 kg this is a seriously versatile sidecar.
The dimensions are approximately 1500mm long by 470mm wide and 380mm high.
For those who prefer inches it is about 59" long x 18.5" wide x 15" high and it can safely carry just over 250 lbs
Please note, the carrying capacity may be limited by the motorcycle and road conditions, for example it would be unreasonable to expect a low powered 250cc motorcycle to pull a sidecar plus 120 kg load reliably at modern road speeds.
Please note, if you are comparing sidecars with other manufacturers, we never use any un-damped cheap trailer suspension parts. All our sidecars are fitted with a 20 mm axles, triple bearing wheel, braced swinging arms and a fully damped coil spring shock absorber.
Suitable motorcycles include but are not limited to, Ural 650/750, Jawa 350, Royal Enfield 500/650, Triumph Bonneville, Triumph Scrambler, Yamaha XS650, Kawasaki W650/800, most British bikes and many Japanese cruisers. There are many many more, but this list should give an idea of the type of traditional frame needed for simple fitment.
